DCLM Sincere Milk 13 January 2024 — Partnership With God

DCLM Sincere Milk  13 January 2024 Devotional by Pastor W. F. KumuyiPartnership With God

Topic: Partnership With God

Text: 1 Corinthians 3:9-11

9For we are labourers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building.

10According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.

11For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

Key Verse: “For we are labourers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building.” 1 Corinthians 3:9

Message

Partnership is the coming together of two or more people with common goal and responsibilities to achieve a result. A person cannot be a partner of himself, you need someone to form partnership with. Friends of Jesus are called to be labourers together with God, that is partnership. You join hands with God your Partner to have a warm fellowship with Him. The common goal is to end up with Him in heaven. God is the greatest partner you can ever have, He is a Friend that sticks closer than a brother and is ready to meet your needs at all times. Why not run to Him and make Him your best Partner in this journey of life.

There are many things that may want to distract you from having a full fellowship or partnership with God such as rebellion, wickedness, witchcraft, stubbornness, lying, fighting etc. You must do away with them so that God will not be angry with you. What should you do to enjoy partnership with God? It is very simple. Repent and turn away from your bad ways and the Lord will forgive you. From then you will begin to enjoy full partnership with God.

Prayer for today: I want to enjoy partnership with You, Oh Lord, help me.

GOSPEL REALM: STEPS TO SALVATION
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
