TOPIC: RECEIVE THE SAVIOUR

TEXT: JOHN 1:9-12

9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.

11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

Key Verse: “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name” (John 1:12).

MESSAGE:
Daniel fell into a deep pit. He tried all he could to get out, but he could not. Each time he tried, his legs would slip and he would drop back into the pit. Daniel could not save himself from the difficult situation.

Luckily, a man heard his voice and came with a rope to help him out. After much effort, the man was able to bring Daniel out of the well, and saved him from death.

Jesus is the Saviour of the world. He came into the world and died for us on the cross at Calvary. Remember, man lost the precious relationship with God through the disobedience of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden.

The merciful God sent His only begotten Son, Jesus, to bring us back to Himself through His death. Jesus is the only way to have peace with God. But many children are rejecting Jesus and shutting the doors of their hearts against Him.

Every person in this world needs a Saviour, and that Saviour is Jesus. Sinners need to surrender their lives to Him to be saved from sin and all the troubles in the world. Believers should also rely and depend on Him for grace and strength to run the heavenly race to the end.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, I open the door of my heart to You. Please come in and live in my heart.

GOSPEL REALM: STEPS TO SALVATION
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
