TOPIC: THE BEST WILL SURELY COME

TEXT: GENESIS 25:21-24

21 And Isaac intreated the LORD for his wife, because she was barren: and the LORD was intreated of him, and Rebekah his wife conceived.

22 And the children struggled together within her; and she said, If it be so, why am I thus? And she went to enquire of the LORD.

23 And the LORD said unto her, Two nations are in thy womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels; and the one people shall be stronger than the other people; and the elder shall serve the younger.

24 And when her days to be delivered were fulfilled, behold, there were twins in her womb.

Key Verse: “And Isaac intreated the LORD for his wife, because she was barren: and the LORD was intreated of him, and Rebekah his wife conceived”(GENESIS 25:21).

MESSAGE:

Isaac got married when he was forty years and his wife’s name was Rebekah. They had no child until about twenty years later. Because of Rebekah’s childlessness, Isaac prayed to God for his wife. When challenges come or a member of your family has a problem, pray for them just as Isaac prayed for his wife and God will answer.

God did more for Isaac and his wife than they expected. Rebekah gave birth to two babies same day. They named them Esau and Jacob. More than that, God made Esau and Jacob grow to become great. Let us wait on the Lord patiently for our needs. You may feel uncomfortable about the delay, or what you see or hear may seem to make you feel that things may not get better. The wise thing to do is to keep praying and waiting on the Lord. The best will surely come from Him. Wait on the Lord.

Prayer: Lord, help me never to give up waiting on You.

GOSPEL REALM: STEPS TO SALVATION
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
