DCLM Higher Everyday 15 April 2026 — Allow God To Guide You
Topic: Allow God To Guide You
Bible Reading: Proverbs 3:5-8 (KJV)
3Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart:
4So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.
5Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
7Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.
8It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.
MEMORY VERSE: “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding” (Proverbs 3:5).
As humans, our knowledge of the future is limited, making it unwise to rely solely on our own judgment. When we choose to follow God’s leading and guidance, we experience His protection and provision, empowering us to navigate life’s challenges with confidence, knowing that He is with us and directing our steps. God can lead us through various means – through His word as we read the Bible, through His anointed ministers as they preach and through godly counsels of our parents. Dear friend, whether it’s in academics, career choices, financial decisions, or spiritual matters, nothing is too small to seek God’s guidance on. Remember that He is the only one who could perfectly direct your paths.
PRAYER FOR TODAY
Dear God, grant me the wisdom to follow Your leading always.
CHALLENGE
Allow God to guide you every step of the way.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
