DCLM Higher Everyday 17 April 2026 — Ambassadors For Chirst

DCLM Higher Everyday  17 April 2026 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Ambassadors For Chirst

Topic: Ambassadors For Chirst

Bible Reading: 2 Corinthians 5:18-20 (KJV)

18And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;

19To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

20Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.

MEMORY VERSE: “Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God” (2 Corinthians 5: 20).

Message

According to Merriam Webster Dictionary, An Ambassador is a high-ranking representative who serves as diplomatic envoy for a country, an organization or entity. He or she promotes and protects the interest of his or her country or organization, fosters positive relationships and negotiates agreements. At salvation the Christian youth is integrated into a new ecosystem that is constantly at variance with the world’s system; hence the believing youth is charged by God to live as an ambassador with burning brilliance, representing and serving the interest of God’s kingdom.

Christian youths are to live daily, reflecting the kingdom they represent, lighting the dark and degenerate world. God expects the Christian youth to stay uncompromising and live the life that only represents and reflects the Kingdom to attract others into the Christian faith. To become an ambassador for Christ, sinning youth must repent from sin and whole heartedly turn to God in faith and trust Him for His Spirit power for daily victorious living. We must become unapologetic about our state as Christians to defend the glorious gospel as ambassadors.

PRAYER FOR TODAY

Lord, help me to represent Your Kingdom well at all times.

CHALLENGE

God expects the Christian youth to stay uncompromising.

QUOTE

Defend the glorious gospel

GOSPEL REALM: STEPS TO SALVATION
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
