28Remove not the ancient landmark, which thy fathers have set.

29Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.

Key Verse: “Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.” Proverbs 22:29

Message

A young achiever by name John Oseni spoke at a youth convocation in Nigeria. In his speech, he gave himself a goal to be known as one of the top achievers in the world, and he is seriously working towards it. He became the first Nigerian to be listed as global child top 100 prodigies. He was listed as a global child prodigy under the technology category.

If you desire to be honoured like John Oseni, you need to work towards it. It is not by mere wishes; you must read hard and pray. If you are diligent, you will stand before kings and not mean men. Joseph in the Bible had a dream and God at the appointed time raised him up to the top; he became a prime minister in Egypt. Apart from his dream, there are desirable attributes in the life of Joseph that we can copy. He was God-fearing, holy, righteous, loving, caring, prayerful and hardworking. Today, God will honour you and lift you higher above your peers, and you will have global honour.

Prayer for today: Lord, lift me higher and grant me global honour.

GOSPEL REALM: STEPS TO SALVATION
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
