MESSAGE:

Charles Capps says, “Medical Science tells us there are many incurable diseases, such as some forms of cancer, arthritis, heart diseases, and AIDS, among others. Even though there are no known medical cure for many diseases, God’s Word is a supernatural cure and offers supernatural hope to all who are afflicted. The Bible is the manufacturer’s handbook revealing how to take care of what God has made.” Our text gives us divine counsel concerning our health and well-being, which is profitable for youths who desire to live a healthy life.

Dear friend, the Word of God is medicine for your health, serving both preventive and curative purposes. Yes, God’s Word is a multipurpose medicine that saves the sinner, promotes good health, heals the sick, grants victory over temptation, and delivers from social vices detrimental to health.

Beloved, just as you need physical food to promote and maintain good health, you must study, meditate on God’s Word daily, and obey its precepts to maintain your health. Feed on God’s Word, believe it and pray it into your life. God’s Word is medicine.

Quote: Obey its precepts to maintain your health

Challenge: God’s Word is medicine, feed on it, believe it and apply it.

Prayer: Help me Lord to feed on your Word for my holistic well-being.

GOSPEL REALM: STEPS TO SALVATION
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
