DCLM Sincere Milk 24 February 2023 — He was in the beginning

DCLM Sincere Milk  24 February 2023 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — He was in the beginning

TOPIC: HE WAS IN THE BEGINNING

BIBLE TEXT: JOHN 1:1-4

1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

2The same was in the beginning with God.

3All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

4In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

KEY VERSE: “The same was in the beginning with God.” (John 1:2)

MESSAGE:

Some people say what they did not know about Jesus. They know little or nothing about Him. Some say He was created by God just like every other human being. Others say He was born by a woman as it is the case with every other person.
Knowing who Jesus is, is not a matter of human knowledge and learning but that of divine revelation.

Our Bible passage reveals that Jesus was in the beginning with God. The fact that Jesus was in the beginning does not mean that was His beginning. Further down our text we read “All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made.”
Everything was made by Him. How then can the Creator be created? But the Bible says let God be true and every man a liar. (Romans 3:4).

Jesus has no beginning and no ending. He made everything. He knows everything. He has power over everyone. All good things begin with Jesus. He is able to begin a new work of salvation, deliverance and healing in your life today. But you must first pray, repent, believe and accept Him as your personal Saviour and Lord.

PRAYER: Lord Jesus, I believe You are Lord, Creator of heaven and earth. I accept You as my Saviour and Lord.

GOSPEL REALM: STEPS TO SALVATION
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
